Atty. Redillas finished his Bachelor of Arts, Major in Philosophy ( cum laude ), from Silliman University , the oldest American university in Asia . He finished his Bachelor of Laws from the same university, where he was an active student leader, having been elected vice-president, and eventually as president, of its student government. He was awarded as the most outstanding student of the university in 1992.
After passing the Philippine Bar, Atty. Redillas immediately joined his current firm where he gained extensive experience not only in civil, criminal, labor, administrative and corporate law and litigation practice, but also in labor and industrial relations, alternative dispute resolution, immigration and deportation, corporate and administrative regulatory requirements, transportation and telecommunications. He has served in the Presidential Commission on Constitutional Reforms, which drafted proposed amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines in 1999. He was also retained as the legal and political consultant of some local governments in the country.
Atty. Redillas is a member of the Rotary Club of Paco-Manila. He is also a member of the Philippine Coalition for the International Criminal Court. He sits in the governing board of trustees of the Jose Rizal Memorial State College, the state college in Zamboanga del Norte.
